Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you request a free sample, buy a post or bundle, or order an Outreach Kit from Second Life Content.
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you request a free sample, buy a post or bundle, or order an Outreach Kit from Second Life Content ("we", "us") through secondlifecontent.com. By placing an order or paying, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@secondlifecontent.com before you order.
1. What we do
We turn videos you have already published (for example Instagram Reels and YouTube videos) into written blog posts for your own website. Depending on what you order, we may also provide:
- Blog posts for your website, with headings, a suggested meta title and description, and instructions for publishing on your website platform.
- Guest-post versions of an article, written for other relevant websites to consider.
- The DIY Outreach Kit: ready-to-send outreach emails, a list of target websites with publicly available contact details, and step-by-step instructions, for you to send yourself.
What we don't do: we don't send outreach, pitch websites, publish guest posts, buy links or do link-building on your behalf. We don't contact anyone in your name.
2. Free sample posts
A free sample post is offered once per business, with no obligation to buy. You may keep and use the sample post on your own website. We don't show a sample post publicly without your permission.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- give us accurate information, working links to the videos you want turned into posts, and any details we need (such as correct business name, product names and spellings);
- tell us about anything that must or must not be said (for example regulated claims in health, finance or legal topics);
- review each post before you publish it, and make sure it's accurate and suitable for your business. You are the publisher of anything you put on your website;
- reply to our questions within a reasonable time so we can meet the turnaround.
If your business works in a regulated area (for example health, financial advice or legal services), you're responsible for checking the post meets the rules that apply to you before publishing.
4. Your content and your rights to it
You promise (warrant) that:
- you own the videos, captions, images and other material you give us, or you have permission to let us use them to create your posts;
- the material doesn't infringe anyone else's copyright, trade marks, privacy or other rights, and isn't defamatory or unlawful; and
- any people shown or quoted in your videos are happy for that content to be repurposed.
Indemnity. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs (including legal costs) if someone makes a claim against us because the material you gave us, or your use of a finished post, breaches someone else's rights or the law. This doesn't apply to the extent the claim was caused by something we added or did wrong.
We may decline or stop work on content that we reasonably believe infringes someone's rights, is unlawful, or is misleading.
5. Who owns the finished post (intellectual property)
- Your video stays yours. We never claim ownership of your videos or source material.
- You own the finished post once it's paid for in full. On full payment, we assign to you all our copyright in the finished post (and any guest-post versions and Outreach Kit emails written for you). Until then, you may review drafts but not publish them.
- Free samples: you may use a free sample post on your own website.
- We keep our know-how. We keep ownership of our general methods, templates, checklists and processes, which aren't specific to you.
- Using your post as a sample. We only show your post, your name or your feedback publicly (for example on our website or social media) with your permission. Founding clients agree to this as part of the founding-client offer (see section 9). You can ask us to take it down at any time and we'll remove it within 5 working days.
6. No guarantees of results
We write each post to be useful, well structured and search-friendly. But search engines and other websites are outside our control, so we don't guarantee:
- any search ranking, position, traffic, enquiries or sales;
- that any website will publish a guest post or keep a link live;
- any backlinks, or any response to outreach emails.
Nothing we say, on our website or in emails, is a promise of those results. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 11).
7. The DIY Outreach Kit: you send it
If you order an Outreach Kit:
- You send every email yourself, from your own email account, in your own name.
- You're responsible for complying with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and any other laws that apply to the emails you send, including identifying yourself accurately, including a working unsubscribe option, honouring unsubscribe requests within 5 working days, and only emailing addresses you're allowed to contact.
- Target lists only include contact details that the websites have published publicly for that kind of enquiry. We don't sell or supply purchased or harvested lists. Check each site before you contact it, and skip any that say they don't want guest-post enquiries.
- Whether a site replies, publishes your article or links to you is entirely up to that site.
- If you use paid or sponsored placements, you're responsible for following the publisher's and search engines' rules on labelling links (for example
rel="sponsored").
8. Turnaround and delivery
- After you confirm which videos you want turned into posts (and pay, if it's a paid order), we aim to deliver within 24 hours, and usually sooner.
- Posts are delivered by email as a PDF, with instructions for publishing on your website platform.
- Bundles may be delivered in stages if you confirm videos at different times. Please use your bundle within 12 months of purchase.
- Turnaround times are targets, not guarantees. If we're going to be late, we'll tell you as soon as we know. If we're significantly late, you can cancel any posts we haven't started for a refund of those posts.
9. Prices, payment and offers
- Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are shown on our Pricing page: 1 post AUD $150; 2 posts AUD $250; 5 posts AUD $500; 10 posts AUD $850. We're not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
- Payment is made upfront through Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card details.
- Outreach Kits and guest-post versions are quoted per project. You'll get the price in writing before any work starts.
- Founding-client offer: a limited number of founding-client spots (currently 5) get 50% off their first order in exchange for (a) a short honest testimonial and (b) permission for us to show the post as a sample. The discount is applied when we confirm your order, not through the online checkout. Testimonials must be your genuine opinion. We won't ask you to say anything you don't believe, and we won't edit your testimonial in a way that changes its meaning.
- We may change our prices at any time, but the price you paid applies to your order.
10. Revisions
- Each paid post includes one free round of revisions, requested within 7 days of delivery. Send all your changes together in one message.
- Revisions cover changes to the delivered post (wording, tone, accuracy, structure, adding or removing points from the same video). A new topic, a different video or a substantially different brief is a new post.
- Extra revision rounds may be quoted separately.
- If a post contains a factual error we made, we'll fix it free at any time. That doesn't count as your revision round.
11. Refunds and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services will be provided with due care and skill, will be fit for any purpose you told us about, and will be supplied within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights.
In addition to those rights:
- Not started yet: if you change your mind before we've started a post, we'll refund that post in full. (Bundle refunds are pro-rata at the bundle's per-post price, less any posts already delivered.)
- Doesn't match the brief: if a delivered post doesn't match what you asked for, or has errors we caused, tell us within 14 days. We'll redo it free, and if we can't fix it, we'll refund that post.
- Change of mind after delivery: we don't usually offer refunds just because you've changed your mind after a post has been delivered, but this doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Refunds are paid back to the original payment method through Stripe, normally within 5–10 working days of approval.
To ask for a refund or report a problem, email info@secondlifecontent.com with your order details.
12. Quality checks
Every post is checked against your source video before delivery, for accuracy and to make sure it doesn't include invented facts, statistics or quotes.
13. Our liability
- To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our total liability to you for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Where the law allows, our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
- To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost revenue or loss of search rankings.
- We aren't responsible for what happens after you publish a post or send outreach, including search engine changes, third-party website decisions or anything you change in the post.
14. Confidentiality and privacy
We'll keep your unpublished material and business information confidential and only use it to provide our services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
15. Ending an order
You can stop at any time. There's no lock-in contract. We may cancel an order (with a refund for any work not delivered) if we can't deliver it, or if the content would breach these terms or the law.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place an order applies to that order.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the courts of New South Wales and courts that can hear appeals from them.
